Economy Policy Commission

The Economy Policy Commission develops Labour’s policy on the economy, business and social security. It meets regularly to consider evidence and submissions, identify challenges, and develop Labour’s policy in these areas.

The Commission is currently leading a consultation on the key challenges to building a productive economy. This includes how we boost productivity through ensuring we have the right skills and infrastructure, how we can rebalance the economy between the UK’s nations and regions, and how an industrial strategy can support our strategic industries and compete with the rest of the world. The Commission has published a short consultation document outlining the key challenges in these areas, and inviting submissions from the wider Labour Party and public.
