Children and Education Policy Commission
The Children and Education Policy Commission looks at issues relating to children’s wellbeing, education and development, from early years to the end of school. It is currently focussing on early years intervention and childcare. It meets regularly to consider evidence and submissions, identify challenges, and develop Labour’s policy in these areas.
The Commission is currently leading a consultation on policy for the early years, including targeted services to overcome disadvantage, delivering high quality and affordable childcare, and supporting vulnerable children. The Commission has published a short consultation document outlining the key challenges in these areas, and inviting submissions from the wider Labour Party and public.
